These cutters excel in machining highly abrasive materials and are highly recommended for countersinking difficult to machine and exotic materials in which high speed steel will not perform satisfactorily. These cutters also offer longer functional life.
Replaceable pilot construction allows economical replacement of damaged pilots and substitution of various pilot diameters using the same cutter. (see 755 series) Maximum non-cutting diameter is 1/32 larger than the pilot hole. We recommend using cutters with pilot holes no less than 1/32 smaller than desired pilot diameter.
These cutters are made with heavy carbide tipped cutting edges brazed to a tough steel body. Precision ground and form relieved to insure concentricity. May be used in all popular adjustable—stop or micro—stop countersinking units utilizing a threaded shank drive.
